Outliers:The Story of Success

We all have dreams for our professional and personal lives, but what is it that makes some become absolutely unparalleled in what they do?  Some say that all it takes is talent to succeed in life, but today’s scientific data suggests otherwise.  Instead, it’s about starting to do what you love early, giving your life over to your love, and starting at the perfect time in history in order to make use of your capabilities. It takes an extraordinary amount of work and luck.

In 2008 and 2010 Malcolm Gladwell’s Outliers, became a nonfiction phenomenon.  Most people know it for the famous “10,000 hours rule” presented in the second chapter.  Now, in our analysis of Outliers: The Story of Success, you’ll learn about the other factors that Bill Gates, the Beatles, Robert Oppenheimer, and Jewish garment makers in turn-of-the-century New York had in common, which contributed to their spectacular success.  You’ll also learn how to recognize those traits in our own lives and those of others.
